There was also a considerable amount of change in the women’s clothing, which also included change in the hair styles as well. In the initial stage, the changes in fashion led to disintegration of what was previously been followed and has similar styles of dressing. Such style was worn by the upper classes of Europe and there was an increase in the development of various national styles of fashion dresses.

Although, fashion was being perceived differently by the rich people, the modern Europe influenced the peasants to follow the trends at a distance which can be closely related to the elites. The West followed a fashion trend which was unparalleled. The early western travelers in China, Persia, Japan, Turkey and such countries remarked on the absence of the fashion changes even if they understood little of the cultures, they described them as unethical. They pursued such concept as instable and lack of order in the culture of the Western countries.

In Japan, there was a considerable change in the fast pace of fashion during the period of 1609. This century even had different fashion trends in the men clothing style in Germany and Italy. During this period, there were also a lot of national differences. The Spanish style of clothing at the end of the century moved to the upper class Europeans. After a struggle in the mid 17th century, the French styles took over the leadership and this continued in the 18th century. Even though the colors and the textile patterns changed each year, the cut of a male’s coat and the waistcoat length or the women’s pattern of dress changed slowly. The fashion of men derived from the military models and the officers had chance to make notes of foreign styles. They saw the European style in a European male fashionable dress profile which was fired up in Theatres of a European war.

This changed in the year of 1780s giving way to the Paris style of dress code. By 1800, all Western European dressed alike and the history of fashion design took certain changes from 1858 onwards. One such English born professional designer named as Charles Frederick Worth changed this and opened the first ever true haute couture house in Paris. This designer became a more dominant figure irrespective of the many origins of fashion in the street fashion style. In this way, fashion in clothing has allowed the bearer worldwide to be able to express emotions and also compete with other fashion fads around the world.
